|FAQ's about Tension/Trauma Release|
Beat stress naturally
"TRE is very beneficial to me in that it relaxes me. I find that I am less stressed and calmer since I started with TRE. I used to suffer from chronic back pain before I started with TRE. This is much better now. I also sleep much better.”

Stress & Tension
Stress and tension build up from every day circumstances of life, be it difficult or stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences (i.e., accidents, violence, domestic or social, natural disasters).
We have an innate response to clench and tighten, musclesinwards into a ball - protecting ourselves from injury and trauma, we also have a way to let go and release this tension.
The Body & Stress
The psoas muscles are the muscles that play the most important role in the fight/flight response in humans. The psoas muscles remain contracted until danger is over. The charge is not released. The body stores this, memorises it, and creates dysfunctional patterns that affect the mind, body and emotions.
The effect of stress on body, mind and soul
The pent-up charge manifest in: Intense emotions such as fear, distrust, rage etc., body discomfort, aches, muscle knots and negative belief systems and ultimately illness as well as dysfunctional behaviour
The innate ability of the body to heal itself
Neurogenic tremors are found in all mammals. They are an inbuilt physiological response to release stress, tension, and trauma. For example an impala shake to release tension after being chased by a lion allowing them to continue grazing, humans also have this ability however, we tend to feel vulnerable by the uncontrollable shaking and instead use medication, alcohol, cigarettes, sugar water etc. to suppress this in order to feel in
This series of six easy stretching exercises was put together by Dr David Berceli when he perceived how the human body reacted to stressors in different situations.
The Exercises stress a core group of muscles, and when the muscles begin get fatigued, they start to tremble – called neurogenic muscle tremors.
The tremors are a natural reflex that all humans and animals can use to release stress and tension from the body.
We often hear and use ourselves phrases such as:
“I was so frightened my jaw was quivering,”
“I was shaking all over my body”
“When I was giving that speech my legs were really shaking,”
“My hands were shaking so bad I couldn't hold anything,”
“I was so angry I shook all over.”
After this natural release the body is in total relax mode which aids whole body wellness. The exercises are easy and gentle and can be done by anyone of any age from 8 to 80.
TRE is beneficial to reduce any stress or tension that accumulated over the course of the day allowing you to sleep better and start the next day in a better place.
The amazing fact of releasing tension and stress from the body results in pain release which gives the client back their zest for life and creates a more positive attitude when faced with day-to-day things that happenand emotional trauma.
Anthony will give us valuable pointers about natural supplements and general guidelines to alleviate stress and tension. Ria will do the TRE exercises.
